CBC (Children's Book Council)- association of children's book publishers.  Provides a very helpful members' list of children's book publishers- their addresses, needs, and if they accept unsolicited submissions.
SCBWI (Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators)- a terrific organization for children's writers and illustrators with an excellent  newsletter and conferences, and local writer groups.  Highly Recommended!
