Decorate Your Own Cupcake:
For a party idea, give each guest an undecorated cupcake.  
Provide pink and white frosting and toppings such as colored sprinkles, red hot candies, conversation heart candies, candy kisses, strawberries, and whipped cream.
Heart Sandwiches:
Make mini-heart sandwiches by cutting out bread hearts with a heart-shaped cookie cutter.  Make pink cream cheese by adding a few drops of red food coloring to cream cheese.  Spread the cream cheese on the bread.  Decorate with slivers of red pepper.

Make larger sandwiches by cutting the bread with a larger heart-shaped cookie cutter.  Fill the sandwiches with tuna salad, egg salad, or peanut butter and jelly.

Fizzy Valentine Punch:
Mix 1 quart red fruit juice with 1 quart club soda.
Add one maraschino cherry or a strawberry to each cup.
Valentine Pizza:
Shape ready-made pizza dough into heart shapes.  
Spread with tomato sauce, shredded cheeses, and whatever pizza toppings you like, and bake.
Valentine Fortune Cookies:
You  will need:
roll of slice and bake refrigerator sugar cookies
red or pink sugar
slips of paper with fun valentine messages or fortunes.

Here are some ideas for valentine fortunes:
You will meet a tall, dark, handsome stranger.
Cupid's arrow is heading straight to you!
You have a secret admirer!

1.  Slice the cookie dough thinly.
2.  Put a message on each cookie.
3.  Fold the cookies in half.
4.  Press the edges of the cookies to seal them together.
5.  Sprinkle the cookies with sugar and bake.

Chocolate-covered Cherries:
You will need:
jar of maraschino cherries with stems
semi-sweet chocolate chips or semi-sweet baking chocolate

In a microwave safe bowl, melt chocolate in the microwave, 2 minutes on high, stirring half-way through.  
(Or melt chocolate in a double-boiler.)
Drain the cherries.
Dip the cherries into the melted chocolate.
Put them on waxed paper to cool.

Or make Chocolate covered Strawberries.
Dip the strawberries half-way into the melted chocolate.
When cool, put each strawberry in a Valentine cupcake liner.

White Chocolate Pretzels:
Melt white chocolate.
Dip pretzels in the melted chocolate to cover.
Place on waxed paper.
Sprinkle lightly with red sugar.
Heart-Shaped Cake:
Use a heart-shaped pan.
If you don't have one, use a square pan and a round pan. 
Cut the round cake in half.
With frosting, attach the round cake halves to two adjacent sides of the square cake.  You will make a heart!
Giant Cookie:
Using any cookie batter, use all of the batter to make one giant cookie on a cookie sheet.  
Shape it into a heart. 
Bake until golden brown.
Frost the cookie, and write Happy Valentine's Day with icing.
Put the cookie on a doily lined plate.
Valentine Cocoa:
Float whipped cream on top of hot chocolate drink.
Top it with a chocolate heart candy!
