PILGRIM
POEMS
FIVE
PILGRIMS
Five Pilgrims fish
in the morn.
(pretend to fish)
Five Indians help
them plant corn.
(pretend to plant)
The Indians bring
the corn
(hold up right hand)
The Pilgrims bring
the meat.
(hold up left hand)
Ten new friends
sit down to eat.
(Fold hands together)

PILGRIM
The
brave little pilgrim
Went looking for a bear.
He looked in the woods
He looked everywhere.
The brave little pilgrim
Found a big brown bear.
He ran like a rabbit
OH! What a scare!

THE
PILGRIMS CAME
The Pilgrims came across the sea,
and never thought of you and me.
And yet it's very strange the way
we think of them Thanksgiving Day.
We tell their story, old and true,
of how they sailed across the blue,
found a new land to be free,
and built their homes quite near the sea.
Every
child knows well the tale
of how they bravely turned the sail,
and journeyed many a day and night,
to worship God as they thought right.

HAPPY
FALL, Y'ALL!
